Helen Coward, PwC
Champion 2014 / Advisor for 2015
I am thrilled to be part of the 2015 London PA Awards again. I was a Champion in 2014 in their 1st year and an Advisor this year, which is very exciting. I have worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers since October 1999 and support 3 very busy Partners. I thoroughly enjoy being a Personal Assistant, I love meeting new people and organising events.
Champion: Trina Smith, Which
Advisor: Helen Miller, Citi
Trina’s background has predominantly been in media having worked for ITV for 6+ years and then WPP’s GroupM, however, after having her first child she craved a change and moved into the Charity Sector and has been at Which? ever since. Three years and another child later, she is still Executive Assistant to Richard Lloyd, Executive Director.
Trina is much more than the sum of all her parts. She possesses a valuable ability to speak to colleagues and visitors at all levels of seniority, is resilient in the face of adversity, exceedingly reliable in a crisis and tenacious when fulfilling a project with which she has been tasked. Trina’s apotheosis however is her administrative skills, and in particular her management of the work diary for whomever she is responsible, as well as regulating her own increasingly demanded time. Her refreshing sagacity ensures that she is trusted implicitly by anyone that she works with, and they are safe in the knowledge that if they have entrusted a project to her it will be fulfilled to the highest possible degree.

Given the diverse nature of the Society which runs two zoos (ZSL London and Whipsnade) welcoming over 1.2 million people each year, has conservation projects in over 50 countries around the globe and produces ground-breaking science, this meant that Amelia’s work was wide ranging including leading on royal events at ZSL London Zoo, attending fundraising events at Buckingham Palace and the House of Commons, taking donors for behind the scenes animal encounters, and sometimes helping at commercial sleepovers in animal houses at ZSL London Zoo.
Her interest and passion for the organisation has led her to new challenges, and she has recently taken on a new role in ZSL’s fundraising department, working with Patrons and major donors, as a direct result of the varied skills gained from her years working as an Executive Assistant to the Society’s most senior management.

These in turn led to her role as an actors agent and publicist, PR and Events Producer, and now to the company she and business partner Stuart McNair created last year, Luxury Travel Advisors.
Freya thinks it was more her ability to deal with even the most surreal of situations (think Hugh Grant naked, a nun joke and a plate of canapes) that helped her handle her role as PA to the thoroughly creative yet utterly unpredictable Richards!

I’m an EA, having worked for Drake & Morgan, EA to the CEO of a £20m t/o business with 300 employees with additional support responsibilities for Executive Team. Prior to that I worked for Novus Leisure for 7 years as EA to the COO, Property Director and assistant PA to CEO of a £140m t/o business with 3,000 employees with additional support responsibilities for all Executive Team.
I am a mother of 2 toddlers and love spending time and participating in activities with them. I am a keen cyclist and have completed a number of charity rides, most notably raising over £1.5k on a London to Paris ride.
I am completely honoured to have been asked to Champion this particular Award, and I thank Amy very much for the opportunity to be a part of these fantastically fun Awards.
Ashliegh Feeney, Yahoo! Inc.
I was introduced to the ‘London PA Awards’ by a dear friend and work associate who was a Champion for an award last year. I have been in the ‘PA world’ for 8 years working in a number of industries, from events, cosmetic surgery and fashion. But now I am working at Yahoo! Inc. and have been an EA here for 9 months. From day 1 I could see a long and prosperous future here for myself and already feel like part of the furniture.
I work across EMEA with a team of amazing EA’s and also get to travel from time to time which is a huge perk. Part of my role is to organise internal and external events which I thoroughly enjoy and thrive from. Not one day is the same which I like as it keeps me interested and also interesting!
I am most looking forward to building up a network of PA’s in London as there are so many of us out there with a lot in common!
It is a real privilege to be a 2015 Champion and I thank Chantelle Jones and Amy Law for giving me this fantastic opportunity!
I joined Just Hospitality (JH) in 2010 as front of house for one of their catering units in the City. While I enjoyed my job and all the people at JH I knew after a year that front of house was not for me and was set on pursuing my career as a beauty technician. Upon hearing of my resignation, the Managing Director Dean Kennett paid me a visit and offered me a job as his PA. He knew I had a talent for communicating with people and a real passion for JH - he didn't want to let me go! Now I've taken on more responsibility and couldn't be happier with my decision to stay with the company. JH counts some of the biggest names in the TMT (Technology Media Telecoms) industry, as well as Arts & Heritage as their clients and I look forward to working with them every day.
