This year’s LiveTECH, is being held at the sensational Crystal – London’s newest, most exciting new events venue and a Siemens Sustainable Cities initiative.

The venue itself is a revelation, with stunning views of the docks, the O2, Canary Wharf, and one of the most advanced auditoriums in London, which is like a giant pulsating heart at the centre of the building.

What’s it all about?

We’ve teamed up with iconic and world-renowned agency, George P Johnson, who are thought leaders in the successful integration of technology into events, to deliver a priceless experience for our events industry delegates.

For too long, event professionals have seen technology as a discretionary extra. A bells-and-whistles addition designed to add ‘wow’ factor to an otherwise conventional event.

The purpose of LiveTECH is to change the dialogue around technology. Instead of focusing on how to integrate technology into your existing event, it’s about how to make your event better, using technology.

This shift in perception begins with education and discovery – leveling the playing field so that all delegates have a basic knowledge of what solutions are available, and the value they can add to events.

Attendees will be immersed in the new solutions, they’ll participate in an open discussion of the future of our industry, and they’ll get the chance to deep dive into key content areas.

Throughout the day, they’ll also be given the opportunity to learn from one another, and forge meaningful connections with innovative technology partners.

LiveTECH aims to take people from curiosity to familiarisation, confusion to comfort. In doing so, we will help and encourage our industry to embrace the true potential of digital.

  • A look back over 10 years of events and an insight into the 10 years ahead (they’re related!)
  • Digital engagement – essential to every event. Why and how?
  • Future trends – innovations in experiential engagement
  • Social Media – engagement and the delegate experience, WTF should we be doing?
  • Event apps – Bespoke? Off the shelf? Really? What are the options?
  • Interactivity – Augmented reality, RFID, NFC – endless possibilities…
  • Technology 101 – get with the programme!

The cost

We’re getting there, are you coming with us?

LiveTECH guests will have the opportunity to arrive via the Emirates Air line cable car, which will drop you off at the front door of the Crystal and those with a real sense of (hi-tech) adventure can even arrive by jet-pack!

More conventional commuters can come to Royal Victoria DLR, which is right outside (as is the cable car station from North Greenwich, the O2)
