Peboryon visits Port Eliot!
Having been invited (by a distinguished man on the 6.04 from Paddington) to take part in the fabulously creative, quirky Fodder & Flower Show at Port Eliot Festival, Creative Director of Peboryon cake studio Christine Jensen rose to the design challenge.
The moist double-height carrot cake with cream cheese filling, golden chocolate flamingo legs, and a fondant quill apparently stole the show. As a result, Christine not only enjoyed a fantastic Cornish festival of words, art, fashion, music and theatre, she also got to shake Rick Stein by the hand [she may also have curtsied], and take home The Kitchen Cup for Best in Show.
“When creating this cake for Port Eliot Festival, it had to be more than simply delicious. It needed to reflect the creative, stylish and thoroughly quirky nature of Port Eliot. It was so much fun to let loose with such a carefree design. It’s definitely the cake I’ve smiled at the most!”
