Purple Grape Plans For An Al-Fresco Indian Summer
The menu planners at London’s coolest event caterers (and design) are planning to end the Season on full blast and are gearing up for an Indian Summer of Al Fresco parties. End the Carnival with a party in your own garden or stretch your holiday mood with a come-back home do.
Says Emily Gillan, founder of Purple Grape, “food is as fashionable as ever; but it has all got to taste great.” Comfort food with a twist is still having a moment, particularly the whole Southern Honky Tonk homely thing. Lovely cornbread is in demand and meatballs of any kind disappear in moments. Street food influences are perfect for a party. Purple Grape serves a huge seafood, chicken and chorizo Paella which can serve from 20 through to 1,000 people. The dirty food trend is on the wane; its more finger licking than dirty now, say Purple Grape. “Pulled pork is still popular but it needs an interesting exotic sauce such using Korean seasoning and Kimchi.
Purple Grape was founded six years ago and was an instant success amongst the silicon round-about crowd. As a result, young entrepreneurs started using them for their home parties and also to launch new products. Purple Grape pride themselves on understanding a client’s brief – and adding something extra, serving original and interesting food and providing continuity of service.
Clients can simply order a selection of canapés for a cocktail party or plan a full event for thousands of people.
