This year, canapés are becoming much more experimental and we are constantly developing wild and whacky ideas. At “rhubarb” we have seen a rise in the popularity of our foie gras lolly pops and other innovation canapés such as our savory macaroons. “rhubarb” menus in 2014 will see delights such as beetroot meringues and an electric green pea pana cotta amongst many others. We also have a stunning selection of Pan Asian canapés such as duck spring rolls with sweet soy dip or our little egg and bacon pies which can be an excellent way to introduce a truly British inspired menu.
Canapés and bite size appetizers will continue to be on trend in 2014 as we further develop our large spoons and bowl foods with classic dishes such as mini sausage and mash or shot glasses of Thai green curry sauce with chicken lollipops all with a “rhubarb” twist. Smaller starters mean that guest can enjoy a sampling of the bride and grooms favourite meals and keep plenty of room for the other courses.
However we have seen a rise in the popularity of food stalls, providing a relaxed and conversational atmosphere where guests can enjoy the variety of food and the social elements. Guests can watch the chefs prepare the dishes in front of their eyes and explore different cuisines amongst a variety of dishes.
