'EXHIBITIONISM' The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones have announced their first ever Exhibition World Tour which opens at the renowned Saatchi Gallery in April 2016. Named EXHIBITIONISM will run for 22 weeks from April to September 2016

It is going to be the most comprehensive and immersive insight into a group who have been described by critics as The Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band.

Taking over nine thematic galleries and spread across two floors it will house over five hundred Rolling Stones important and unseen artefacts from the band’s personal archives. The exhibition will take you through their fascinating fifty year history, embracing all aspects of art & design, film, video, fashion, performance, rare sound archives, and of course, at the heart of it, the Stones’ musical heritage that took them from a hard working London blues band in the early 1960s, to inspirational cultural icons adored by millions.

Over five decades, the Stones have shaped popular culture, often in their own image, and this exhibition will look back through every facet of their career, offering a unique perspective that only the band’s own archive can provide. EXHIBITIONISM will be the largest touring experience of this kind ever to be staged by any artist, continuing a proud tradition by the band of ground breaking innovation with the highest production values.

EXHIBITIONISM has taken three years of meticulous planning, offering a comprehensive insight into the band – in a way that has never before been attempted.

The exhibition is an interactive tour through the Rolling Stones’ vast artistic oeuvre, including original stage designs, dressing room and backstage paraphernalia, rare guitars and instruments, iconic costumes, rare audio tracks and unseen video clips, personal diaries and correspondence, original poster and album cover artwork, and unique cinematic presentations. Collaborations and work by a vast array of artists, designers, musicians and writers will be included in the exhibition – from Dior, Prada, Anna Sui, Andy Warhol, Shepard Fairey, Alexander McQueen and Ossie Clark, to Don Was, Walton Ford and Martin Scorsese.

The band members are directly involved in curating and conceiving a highly immersive and interactive experience which will showcase the incredible impact they have made on music, fashion, art, design, performance and film.

A very limited number of evenings are available for exclusive hospitality events during this period. Whether you wish to host an intimate gathering or a larger event, a unique experience can be tailored to your company’s needs.

For corporate partners, it provides a unique entertainment platform for clients, guests and employees alike. Your guests will experience private access to rare instruments, iconic costumes, never been seen before personal items and album cover artwork alongside fine dining and hospitality.

This immersive journey of The Rolling Stones is a unique opportunity ideal for receptions and sit down dinners. For more information on EXHIBITIONISM, see: http://stonesexhibitionism.com/
